If not me, then who? How civil societies mobilize during crises in Lithuania and the Nordics

Traditionally, questions regarding crisis preparedness and management have been strongly connected to public actors such as national authorities. However, recent and different crises, such as COVID-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine have shown that civil society actors are moving towards a more central role in this arena. After all, private individuals, civil society organisations and private sector actors are usually the first to respond. This Nordic Talks event aims to contribute to this discussion and delve deeper into what civil society mobilisation during crises looks like in Lithuania and the Nordics, and how the forms for this can develop.
