OUR CONNECTION TO THE ARTIC

The latest studies show that, globally, the ocean heat and sea levels were records high in 2021, which makes the Arctic very vulnerable. In view of these developments, we want to discuss the connection between the Arctic and the Baltic Sea and the ways we impact the Arctic climate and climate change. In other words: How does the Arctic climate change relate to us living by the Baltic Sea? Why should we worry that climate change impacts the Arctic so much? How is the Baltic Sea connected to the Arctic and how does it impact the Arctic climate from far away? And is there currently any room for science communication and science diplomacy?
