SAY YES! TO DEMOCRACY. EVERY ACTION COUNTS

In the Nordic talk “Say Yes! to democracy. Every action counts.” experts from Latvia and Sweden with different professional backgrounds will share their insights and demonstrate how acting together can contribute to the common goal – a democratic, safe and sustainable Baltic Sea region.

The following issues are going to be addressed: is there a long-term impact on democracy in the Nordic and Baltic regions due to the pandemic? Is polarization in society a threat or an asset for democratic dialogue? In the discussion, it is also going to be discussed how to increase voter turnout and inclusion. Experts will also envision some future scenarios and share some methods that would create and increase engagement by 2030.
