The Nordic countries are often regarded as being forerunners when it comes to gender equality and women’s position within the labour force. However, when it comes to the number of women starting their own businesses compared to men, the Nordic region is in fact behind the rest of Europe. This also applies to the cultural and creative industries, which is a key arena for sustainable innovation.

If we want to reach gender equality in the Nordics and beyond, it is key that we get more women into the world of entrepreneurship and innovation.
