Empowering Women through Social Gastronomy - Social Gastronomy

Social gastronomy organisations are responding to address the global inequities in food systems and are re-imagining how we can create a more sustainable, equitable, and healthy future.

The first step towards change is to acknowledge that things need to change. Social gastronomy can be a powerful tool in reshaping the global gastronomic future, illustrating the wide variety of approaches that are needed. The movement also plays an important role in helping to raise the visibility of women in the food industry.

The focus area of this talk is to showcase the contributions of women and to move beyond financial returns and focus more on the positive social and environmental impacts.
